HOPE YOU HAVE A HAPPY AND SAFE HALLOWEEN!
* If you are in project-based PE here at ACE, PE forms were due Oct. 17. If you do not turn it in by Oct. 31, then you will receive an F for the first nine weeks.
* If you and/or a parent did not attend parent-teacher conference last week, I will be calling parents to set up another time. It is imperative that we meet to create your schedule for next semester. If parents want to email me or call me, that would be fine.
* The Plan Test is required of all 10th graders. It will be Friday, Nov. 7 at 8:15 a.m. at ACE. Be here on time!
* A reminder – Psychology study group on Tuesday at 12:30 in the learning center.
* I have added a new calendar page on the left. You can check it for important dates and a little trivia.
* Please check your mailbox each time you come to ACE. Just so you know – the slot BELOW your name is your slot.
* Don’t forget to register for the ACT. There is a poster at school that lists the test dates and registration deadlines. You can also check the website to the right. You may check out a calculator from myself or Mrs. Peters the Friday before you take it.
*Are you in the green? About once a month we will have a Wii are in the Green celebration. There will be pizza, drinks, and a Wii tournament. We will be using Sunday night progress reports to determine who qualifies. No one knows what week it will be, so try to be in the green each Sunday. Good Luck!
Many of you are so close to all green! Keep up the good work!

Thought for the week: Habit #7(the last one) Sharpen the Saw
Sharpen the saw is the habit of self-renewal. We can sharpen the saw in four areas: 1) Physical dimension by exercising, eating healthy, sleeping well, and relaxing 2) Mental dimension by reading, education, writing, learning new skills 3) emotional dimension by building relationships, giving service, and laughing 4) Spiritual dimension by meditating, keeping a journal, spending more time with whatever inspires.
My favorite quote from The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens:
“You can’t make footprints in the sands of time by sitting on your butt. And who wants to leave buttprints in the sands of time?” Bob Moawad
